For your information, this laptop is a really nice beast.

This model is £848 on AO if someone prefers them over LaptopsDirect for the sake of 3p (I've not personally used either yet) though I see AO only have a 1 year warranty on their listing whereas LaptopsDirect state 2.

This was one of the models I was looking at but I'm still kinda torn. The Ryzen 7 variant is down to £950 on AO so if that drops any further that might make more sense than the Ryzen 5 one...

On the other hand there's been a few just over a grand 4070 deals recently so now I'm trying to work out whether to hold off a bit longer in case the 4070 comes down to a more palatable price, see whether the Ryzen 7 model of this one comes down a bit further, or just get this one...

(I'm not in a massive rush but my current laptop is over 6 years old and doesn't 'officially' support Windows 11 (i5-7300HQ processor))

    140W TGP according to this

Yes 140W as per Asus' own specs page: asus.com/uk/…ec/

(This is the FA507NV model, the FA507XI model with the 4070 in it is the one that Currys had for £1,099.97 briefly just over a week ago: hotukdeals.com/dea…766 . That review you've linked to is the other variant of the FA507NV as the model they had had the Ryzen 7 processor in it (cheapest I've seen that one for is £950 from AO though so at the moment it'd be just over another hundred quid to get the better processor)

Why are laptops direct still allowed on here? They cancell orders and take ages to send the money back.

    Buyer beware

Have you used AO? I was looking at this one as a potential one earlier in the week and their current price is £848

(Or should a hold off a bit longer? (I've got in the back of my mind that the Ryzen 7 4060 variant of this has now fallen to £950 and wondering whether that might fall further still, but also that Currys had the 4070 version on offer for just over a grand just last week (though the stock vanished very quickly so not even sure that'll be available anywhere again as this year's version of the A15 is already out - that one is currently £1,399 on Currys but that's with no offer on it at all)))
