Stock levels are now fluctuating, with the product coming in and out of stock. However the price has dropped a further £20 to £124.99. Anyone who bought at the previous higher price can put in a price amendment request with Costco.

Yes it is the newer model of the above fan. They have redesigned it from the ground up based on customer feedback. It now has a more efficient DC motor reducing running costs. Stronger air circulation and an improved remote with the receiver located at a more ideal position near the top of the fan.

it says 25db, but the lowest dB on the old one was 20db??

It's "Quiet Mark accredited" at 25db, the previous 1056 is "Quiet Mark accredited" at 29db.

Customer service sucks, days to reply to emails and told me to "use some glue".

Same happened to me... I knew it was easy for me to glue together but the point is if you pay this price then firstly you don't expect the product to fall apart and secondly you expect better customer service! Put me off Meaco for good.

150 bloody pounds, what's the point in buying this when it's starting to approach dyson prices? Might as well buy a cheaper £25 fan

A similar Dyson fan is twice the price and in my opinion not as effective. Just like a £25 fan is not as effective. Just depends what type of cooling you want

I have the Meaco 1056P and have been very happy with it in terms of noise and effectiveness (except the temperature value seems fictional but I don't use that). Was looking to buy another one and saw this new model came out but was more than I really wanted to pay at £179. This deal from Costco seems great. I wasn't a member but bought the online annual subscription and this fan for a total of £139.99 which seems good value and I may benefit from other online Costco deals over the year. Thanks OP! Just found out that this doesn't come with an app or WiFi, unlike what some adverts and YouTube promo videos would have you believe. Bought one, spoke to Customer Service and found out. All the other devices in our home are 'smart', it's a shame they couldn't add an app feature at this price. Apparently there are no plans to add in the future either!

I believe you may have seen the Sefte Pro models which are not out in the UK (not this year anyway)

Smaller fan on this new one, does it move as much air as the 1056 which we ended up with a few of? This new one does look a bit neater and slightly more compact
    doby1's avatar
It moves more, 19m3 on this one, 17.76m3 on the 1056

I’ve tried the pedal stool version and found it to be a bit of a damp squid. (edited)
