Just a heads up to those considering. I bought one of these last month when it was discounted to £63 (with discount code).

First one arrived and quickly developed a squealing noise on its second use. We returned it for an exchange. The next one arrived with two screws protruding though the base (scratching the work surface) and didn’t open past 45 degrees.

Returned now and awaiting refund, but couldn’t recommend Samsung microwaves based on this experience.

Not necessarily. You can access this via the Lebara app for example

i got the MS23K3513AK last summer on a similar discount, yet not as steep.

the first one we had to return, as there were dents and cracks so it seemed ready to microwave anyone standing in front of it..

return process was straight forward, got a good replacement unit.

pros: solid for the price, ceramic coating is nice, easy to clean, and hopefully going to stay rustfree, and the customizable pre-set timer settings are quite handy - just don't unplug it to avoid a reset. it seems adequately powerful to me.

i boil a lot of basmati rice in it, needing exactly 14 mins. with the pre-set timer, its 2 click start. my old R&H rusted terribly after doing this for a while, and only having 700w, it needed 15 mins to do the job. so 800w is definitely noticeable in effect.

cons: very dark, you can't see much thru the glass. i wished the power settings were even more customisable, i need a range between 600w and 800w to avoid burning my popcorn vs. time compromise.. most functions and buttons are never used, the automatic defrost and melting function seems inadequate so its better to experiment yourself e.g. 300w.

thats really about it - i'd totally recommend it (so far) and would have bought again easily..
alternatively i would upgrade to a model with the grill function... (edited)

Nice to see one on this page for a change

    for anyone considering getting one

the light is super dim,you cannot see what's inside
800W, may be in another universe, more like 500W
really slow to warm food, uneven with hot and warm/cold-ish spots.
    It's cheap I guess (edited)

Sadly this is my experience too. Samsung only in name, I'm afraid.

Don’t forget to register the additional 1 year warranty when it arrives!
  6. pioneerlogic's avatar
Well mines just arrived its a cracking bit of kit with some nice features, and its got a 2yr guarantee. Working like a champ and looks great, for £50 whats not to like, read the reviews on Argos many others agree its great. Mr Switch its a "YES" from me, thankyou you've cracked it again!

This microwave is absolute shite. Please read the comments section for reviews.

Ours broke after 13 months, just stopped heating. Also heated much slower than the previous Panasonic and current Sharp microwave. These are terrible value, disappointing its posted by who normally has much higher standards.

Not sure why I'm being put on a pedastle here, it's been posted many many times by many other people, and again now by Me at its lowest price. You assume that if it's posted on many occasions then it must be OK, I haven't read previous feedback on this microwave, however there are three listed here, and people have the choice
  9. MG1909's avatar
So I have a Lebara account ,no student account .
What can I do to get this ?
    SkyDust's avatar
I've just signed up to "Perks at Work." It's free and you don't need any ID etc.
    Link: perksatwork.com

Sign up and then search for "Samsung." Enter the model number of the microwave and then enter code MAYBH10 at checkout. (edited)

I have a Samsung microwave and no joke takes forever to warm food up and I bought a good model too
    ikky101's avatar
Yep I’m the same. Used to have a russel Hobbs and no joke in 30 seconds everything used to be piping hot. In this rubbish Samsung one I use even after 2/3mins parts of the meal remain cold. I thought it was a faulty unit but 3 other family and friends bought the same one and say the same. I want to throw it out of the window but all my appliances in the kitchen are Samsung and the rest are good so I have a strange ocd not to want to get rid of it for that reason, but I suspect all Samsung microwaves will be this rubbish (edited)

Ours failed within a year. Will never buy another Samsung microwave and would advise everyone else to do the same

Great find was looking for a microwave went with the 3500k they’re both 1150w which is hard to get at this price and has better reviews with more reviews
    dazbang's avatar
Just for clarity the power consumption is 1150W, the output is 800w

Lmfao at people following the brand name at their peril. The irony of this 'deal' being hotter than any food it may attempt to heat up.
  18. cazw1973's avatar
    Thanks got through Lebara app.
  19. jd121's avatar
Thanks . Been waiting for a microwave deal and time to bite the bullet. Potential cashback also.

Most reviews by actual owners are scathing yet nearly 700 degrees heat! Crazy!
    MrSwitch's avatar
    Author
366 degrees at £69, why wouldn't this be this hot at £15 less? it's a deals website not a reviews website

Don't buy, there's no denying the price isn't worth a hot vote, crazy!!

    What's the difference between them?
  27. PlayChase's avatar
Pricing is confusing, identical models in different colours showing different original price. Like £60 difference between black and white.

Anyway ordered the cheapo one, thanks Switchy. Own microwave went kaput last week.

Quidco tracks at £2.46 on this as well..cheers Mr S (edited)

Bought one of these last year and it's a bit asthmatic. The 700w unbranded model it replaced actually cooked better.

I threw away my Samsung microwave, then was so lazy I didn't bother to buy another one for a while and it's now been 8 years since I don't have a microwave. Not gona lie, best decision I ever made
