How badly would this be bottlenecked with a ryzen 5 3600 (playing at 4k on a LG C1)? Was initially looking at rtx4070 super, but considering switch to AMD as just seems better "value" - not overly fussed about ray tracing.

Not badly at all, please ignore the other guy and look at data.

    Vs a 7600 you'll lose 4% fps at 4k

4k is not CPU bound at all. In the techpowerup 7800x3d review the 1% lows of the 3600 are 15% behind a 7600 at 4k. Not enough to make any noticable difference when the XTX is hitting 90fps+ averages at 4k. A little OC and that difference beteween the 3600 and 7600 drops to 7% in 1% lows, and 0% in average fps.

If you dont care about fps grab an XTX. No brainer. And you don't need a new CPU at all. If you ever do just grab a 5600 or similar and you'll be fine at 4k for many years.

This is terrible advice, new cards arriving Q4 of 2024, and will go out of stock in a blink. You're looking most likely at Nov/Dec if you're lucky.

So you're asking many people to forego 6months+ of gaming (if they have a garbage card and need to upgrade) or low refresh rate gaming, just to get something newer?

This card plays anything even at 4k, mostly at 120hz+. Why not get a perfect tool for a job you need now?

I can't find any report from tech-review sites on this specific card. Anyone have experience with it ?

I've got this card. It's pretty solid and I've had no issues with it.

Go for this or a 4080 super fot £875

    3440x1440p 165hz monitor and a 4k 77 144hz oled main use case.

I had a similar decision myself and decided on the AMD card after overruling myself on the RTX FOMO, this has more VRAM and only one game (2077) really has well implemented RTX

at this point might as well wait for the next generation coming out in a few months.

i mean, if it goes crazy and dips around 500 ill bite but im not in a rush

    What a great price

This is an insane deal for this model. I got my 7900xt for £680, I wish I waited for this.

You could probably find cheaper & better models, but if you've got a small case like myself then there's no other options unfortunately. (edited)

Had a Quick Look on PcPartPicker and eBay before I posted and couldn’t find anything cheaper unfortunately otherwise would have posted a better AIB model. 7900XT is still a mega card

Great card, paid £200 more not too long ago and it's great, I've had one issue with it (it doesn't like Dx12 in WoW) but for the performance and VRAM this is a scorcher of a deal

A few months ago and I would have bitten. Alot of rumours that RTX 5000 will soft launch this year, so I will wait. Sounds like RDNA 4 won't match this level of performance though, so maybe this won't drop in price as much as previous gens.

Only the 5090 and maybe the 5080 is rumoured to launch this year.

The 5090 will surely be closer to £2000. And the 5080 probably around £1000 - if we go by 4080 Super prices. Which is still significantly more than this.

It's a beast. I grabbed the Sapphire Nitro for £750 via Overclockers last week (bespoke forum only outlet deal), and it's a beast
